Initial Update

Hey folks,
This is the initial blog entry. I figured it made sense to create a webpage to keep people updated and even a little entertained! Will be posting on this as I can & even adding some pics to the site. I hope to create a little space on the net for friends and family to see our progress and keep track of us. Additionally, I will be posting pics of our little man when he arrives... but I'll try to keep the C-section video off the net. (grin...)

Today is 32 weeks and 3 days gestation. (Uh, that means I am in my 8th month..)

Today we saw the OB and got a passing grade. My blood pressure is still crazy- 180/110 today which went down with laying down to 140/86. At least it improved! Baby had a long check on the monitor which went well. They give you a button to push when the baby moves, it felt alittle like a game show. I was waiting for someone to ask what was behind door number 3!
Got more testing to do, all of which is turned in Wednesday.

Perinatal is scheduled Wednesday early am. They check the baby and give us the ultrasound once over. So far, those have been 'adequate' passing visits- Which is fine by me! If we make it by them...we wait for the results of the testing I turned in Wednesday.

So we should know by Thursday if I can continue to 'keep the bun in the oven' till Monday of next week. The day to day is rather nerve racking! But at least we have come this far! The OB today said since he hit 32 weeks and has had his steroid shots to get the lungs in shape, it's all 'gravy' from here... Meaning, he would do a lot better at this point. That's always good news.

So we hold onto all the good news & just hope for the best! Lois is taking this all very well & keeping up with things solo. Can't till Riley meets his COOL mom, LoLo.
