All I Want for New Years is My Two Front Teeth

Long time no blog!
Sorry about the delay...but little man is alot more interactive & my time is spent in his company most of the day.
A little news! He is getting his first tooth this week!!! My heart sort of sunk knowing he is growing up out of the newborn/small infant stage... on the other hand, I was so excited that I kept putting my finger in his mouth to feel for it! (Poor guy, mmmm salty finger...)
Medical update: 6m & 10 days. 90th percentile for height, only about 15% for weight. But he is eating like a champ, so all in good time. Otherwise, he's healthy! Not bad for a premmie!
What a great stage Riley is at. He laughs and giggles all the time. It makes you heart smile. His new discovery has been that he can put his feet in his mouth (now that's talent!), which makes for multiple sock changes. Lois and I agree his reaching for your face is endearing till he pokes you in the eye. And man! He can GRIP an earring! He loves his baby gym ( you sit in it and rotate around), sitting up with help and gumming everything in sight & trying to turn the pages at book time. The beloved swing that saved us in the mornings so we could get ready for work is now old news for him. We are working on his floating in the bath and will be starting swim lessons come spring- Hey, if your gonna learn to surf you have to be able to swim!
The dog... well.. she is still hoping Riley will magically disappear.
Lois is yoga mama & looks great! I am still working on post-baby body...Winter is upon us in Atlanta, so we are creative about spending time in doors. We are planning a few weekend trips to get Riley out to see the world around him, since he's finally interested in it! (Course it helps that he can see it now as well) We are counting the days till spring so we can take him to the beach and get sand in our pants. I am looking forward to getting some surfing in come the next few months, since it's been nearly a year. ( I was 3 months pregnant last I surfed) Lo and I really do miss the beach, so it's going to be a trip filled summer I think... (The coast is 4+ hours away, it's a weekend deal).
Sooo here's the latest starting from New Years Eve to most recent (last week)!

Poor Cosmo... the face says it all. We were trying to play with baby... ugh, she wasn't real into it. Lois sure was!

New Years Riley partied with the girls!

Family pic New Years Eve!

Cosmo LOVES being smacked in the eye. One eye peek-a-boo.

Riley loves this circular baby gym.. he's also the drool king.

Ahhh what a face!

Cosmo tried to smother herself in the laundry.. She threaten to use the softer to off herself, if that baby doesn't get lost... We didn't give in. She was bluffing, she's still here.

Winter Boy!

We love this sweet early morning pic...

We celebrated his 6 month birthday with a gift, balloon, cake and friends! In true kid fashion he just wanted the gift wrapping paper! MMM... tasty!

Sponge Bob Balloon! Seems the string was cooler...

"AH! Papparazzi!!" With as many pics I take of this kid, I am surprised I haven't blinded him...

"OH! There's the balloon... and to think, I just thought there was string...."

Six months old!! Yeah!!! Lo is blowing out the cake candle...

The BEST part of the whole party was when Lois lifted the cake up and it slid RIGHT onto her lap!! Ohhh score! Adding to it was the fact that jacket is leather... ouch....
Lois and Riley, Happy Birthday!! Sorta...
The party go-ers... Goofy Jody makes great faces. Riley laughs hysterically at her... Uh, Messina isn't as entertained. :)~~~
Cosmo's sympathy play..."Please take me home with you.. that kid won't go away. I'm a sweet, harmless, loving cute dog.. come on.... Name your price woman!"
Our first real food- Sweet Potaoes! He nearly ate the whole jar!
Cosmo liked feeding time as well. When we weren't looking she licked the jar clean.
Mmmmm solid food!!
AND FINALLY, OUR pride and joy.....
Cosmo the Starbucks eating Mutt!!! Mmm, good to the last lick! She may be blindly stuffing her head in that cup but she's HAPPY!
