Our Little Surfer Boy & The Beach Babes

Our Easter Holiday!

We spent Riley's first Easter at Folly Beach, South Carolina...I got a couple of day of surfing in. Small waves & my extra weight made it 'slow motion surfing', but it was still wonderful to be back in the waves..

His first Atlantic Ocean experience! Our little surfer wasn't so sure of the water, as it was still cold and he burst out crying when it washed in over his feet! He did like the sand, the shells and the attention...

Overall, we had a great time & he came away just about a fraction less pale then he usually is..






Our nightly ritual was playing on the floor of the beach cottage we rented. It was seriously TACKY but functional & the deck ran out onto the beach... We loved it!



















My friend's Teri & Wendy's kids who live in Charleston...Miranda & her brothers, Ethan & Caleb. Great looking bunch!














Riley's laughing.. he had just been trying to bite Lois' feet! He thought that was hilarious! Particularly, when she squealed when he bit down!

We spent nights lounging around after bathtime, Ri still smelled liked suntan lotion despite our scrubbing!





















This is pre-water on the feet- it washed up over his toes and he was none too thrilled! He looked like 'little house on the prairie' in that hat, but it was the only one that we could tie on him due to the wind...




















Lois & Riley playing in the beach house...come to think of it, this was 4AM... He was thrown off his schedule & every morning at 4am he was up for a hour or more... We played with him to wear him out!

This was pure genius! We brought his play gym, tucked him under an umbrella, covered in SPF 60 & his feet splashed in water underneath! He loved it!!

Love that expression! He would play and babble and squeal while we layed out right next to him!





















Lois spent some time out in the surf & did great! I stood in the shore break and help her catch waves... She did get up! The surf was soupy and choppy due to wind, but she really hung in there.

Our beach babes goodbyes! Lordy, wetsuits are merciless on your figure. Needless to say, we were NOT going to do a close up! We had a great time though!
