For those that I haven't had a chance to update...

WE ARE GOIN' BACK TO Cali!! Cali cali...goin' back to cali...

So let me do a brief summary of the past 3 months:

-Riley turned ONE year old in July. Spent the first minutes of his birthday recovering in the ER from a fever induced seizure. He doesn't remember a thing, but Lois and I are emotionally scarred for life. (weak grin) We sang him Happy Birthday, which he smiled at & then laid back down on the gurney. What a way to celebrate...

-Lois landed a job in San Diego and is already working her first day as I write this! We sold the house in less than 3 weeks & will close on in it the very day we leave...

-I managed to get a job via the internet. Totally unexpected but great job. Took me 2 days... Lois just hates me for that. What can I say? I'm a nurse... RN's and NP's are the hot ticket for the next century. I LOVE job security.

-We- the dog, cats, Riley, myself, Lois & our friend Steph (<-she's a saint for doing this) will all be taking a flight together on October 21st & back in San Diego to stay! We both agree we will miss our house, Decatur and the wonderful friends (some are permanent family now) in Atlanta. Ok... so I will be keeping up the blog. Updates, etc.. I was surprised to hear how many people checked the thing! So yes, I will continue this as long as Bloggers allows.

Grampa Louis is a pretty cool guy & Riley enjoyed sitting on his lap for a while- talking guy stuff... Then he proceeded to climb down and suddenly STAND UP and WALK across the room! We were so shocked - Lo & I- that we practically screamed! He had never done that before and of course he showed off for his North Carolina Adopted Grandparents!
