Sunshine Holidays & Winter Wonderland....
Greetings from our Post-Holiday household...Filled with new toys, a dried out Christmas tree on the front sidewalk, one happy little boy and two exhausted mommies. (who are already working on the extra 5 pounds from the holidays...)
Riley got some good 'beach time' over the month of December. Loved the open space & being free, not so sure about 'that sandy stuff on your hands'. (He looks slightly confused or possibly horrified when his palms get covered in it) He's 17 months, eating like a champ & growing taller.
Christmas Day I went surfing while Lo walked with him on the beach, as luck would have it- he got soaked & patiently waited for his mom to come in from the surf so he could clean up. (It was 75 degrees that day..)
So here's the most recent pics:
Lolo (left)and Elayne <--She's the one who introduced us.We love her! One of our favorite people..

Christmas Eve we went down to Mission Beach to watch the big waves...The waves had been HUGE, they often are in winter. Uh, I was a chicken and didn't even try to paddle out- hey you try lugging this plump little frame out in storm surf & see how far you get!

Riley was fascinated by the waves coming to shore and rushing back out again... I love this picture.

Riley and Me Christmas Eve. I swear the boy has a box of raisins in his hands in every picture.

Mister Man close up. That's string in his mouth, he mistook it for a raisin.

Ahhh our little liberal... They start so young.

Christmas dinner was spent at friends Dierdre and Bonnie's- Riley was pretty impressed with how they clean their hands at that house...mmmm good.

Lois got me a new wetsuit!! FINALLY.... I am such a cheap A$$. I think my last one was 15 years old... But Lordy it sucks stuffing your 'mommy' body into something that shows EVERYTHING.

Good friends Messina and Jody sent us T-shirts (for Xmas) from my FAVORITE eating spot! They were hilarious! (Everyone hated that place, but I loved it and forced em' to go at least once a week...Secretly, they loved it)

Christmas day... We opened the front door (it's screened) - it was actually too warm in the house...

Riley loves his new basketball hoop. We didn't do ourselves any favors by teaching him to throw the ball in the house... Whoops.

THIS is what he really loved about Christmas- the boxes, the wrapping and the little crunchy packing popcorn! WOO HOO! Bring it on!!

"OH YES!! I love this Christmas thing! Let's do it again next week!" (uhh..no)
I look so happy while Riley is screaming in frustration over the ball being trapped in the box. Nice mommy, real nice.
Bonnie and Dierdre took Riley out for alittle Christmas trick or treating... That's a lovely lady named "I'M CAROL!" who he got to meet. She seemed pretty entertained by it!
I though this pic was hilarious! That's our friend Emma struggling to get a 'Shark Tent' put up for the kids -Riley and her daughter Teagan... It took forever, she was sweating and when it was finally up- the kids wouldn't go in it! *#$$%^$&#!!!!!

We did a little after Christmas gift exchange with Teagan- she helped him open all the gifts.

Riley discovered the joy of parenting and drove the baby around. I can't wait to show him this when he's 19.
I dragged the kids into the tent... I think they ran out crying RIGHT after we took this pic...
Ahhhh toys... life is good. What you can't see is Lo and I sprawled out on the floor napping.

New Year's Eve once again spent at Bonnie and Dierdre's... Ri got to hang out for while, climb all over their stuff and then crash out in the pack & play upstairs.

LoLo and Me..New Years Eve 2006

Ohhhh...soo cute.

New Years day... yep, that's what we did. Rest... Watched the Rose Parade, had breakfast and slept....
OK NOW the BONUS PIC... Seems 'wash your hands' might have gone a little far, or Riley is practicing to be a dentist... (Uh, Riley did get his hand back and laughed hysterically the whole time)

That's Dierdre getting her fillings checked....
