Wayyyy too Long Between Blogs!

Long time no blog! Here's the update from the family:

- We had a fine Christmas! Riley was showered with gifts... mainly because he has turned a corner & the old toys were now out-grown. Time for big kids stuff!

- Happy New Year...uh 3 months late. Ri is officially 2 and half at the turn of the year... we are a on the fast track to age 3 in the July! Has it been that long since he was a little nugget that laid quietly in the car seat at dinner??

- Riley is in the full throws of 'toddlerhood' with screaming "BUT I WANT IT!!", the old standby "NO.." and everyone's favorite the falling to ground in a boneless heap & shrieking "but I don't want toooooooo!!"....(This must always be timed in public & if possible, somewhere dangerous where there are moving cars)... I SWEAR the kids pass along a play-book for this...they ALL do it. Best Example this Month: 1.5 mile walk home from school, clinging to my leg while I drag him along, screaming for me to carry him... as the neighbors look on. It was a battle of the wills.. I won.

- We spent some time in Big Bear for Riley's first snow experience, his best buddy Teagan's birthday party and his first Tidepool experience!

- Lo & I are well. Lo is involved in lots of local organizations & events..of which, I just show up and say 'yes dear' to all the things she volunteers me for... We have a pretty good time!

Christmas!!! That's a train table and a big wheel...Yeah, it was a long Christmas eve putting it all together.. Sympathy to all parents on that night.
